The most frequent cause of breakers tripping is an overloaded circuit, meaning that your panel does not provide enough amperage for all of the appliances and devices you are trying to power. It can also indicate a short circuit. If a breaker doesn’t reset and immediately trips again, the common causes are a short circuit or ground fault. Call an electrician right away. We can fix the fault or discuss your options for a panel upgrade so that your system can handle all the high-draw appliances that you are trying to power at once.
GFCI stands for Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, and these outlets prevent shock by switching off under certain circumstances. They have buttons to test and reset them, and are now required by code in areas like kitchens and bathrooms where water exposure is possible.
Not all power strips protect against surges. Most only provide additional outlets, and those with protective features don’t protect your entire home. Using power strips with integrated surge protection does help prevent damage to select, high-draw appliances and equipment like entertainment systems and computers. For whole-home protection, we can install a system that integrates with your electrical panel and prevents damage from both small and large surges. These can both damage appliances and your actual electrical system if your system is unprotected.

The cost and payback of electric solar panels can vary largely from one house to the next, depending on the size of the solar system, but also on the location and structure of the house. Many states and utility companies have created solar tax credits and rebate programs to encourage residential and commercial owners to lower their energy usage by purchasing solar systems.
Federal Tax Credit: Investment Tax Credit (ITC) has changed and is best if you call to discuss these changes and how it evolves over the years.
Individual State Rebates: Many states offer cash rebates that are either flat amounts or are based on the size of your solar power system.
Property Tax Exemptions: Many states also specifically exclude the value of a solar energy system from your annual property taxes.
Municipal and Utility Rebates: In addition to the federal and state incentives, many local municipalities and utilities will offer rebates on top of everything else.

Commercial Solar FAQs
Many states and utility companies have created solar tax credits and rebate programs to encourage residential and commercial owners to lower their energy usage by purchasing solar systems.Federal Tax Credit: Investment Tax Credit (ITC) allows individuals to deduct 30% of the cost of a solar system from individual federal income taxes. There is also a 10% ITC available if you use domestic products. Both of these ITC are only good if you’re signed up by July 2026.

This is one of the most common questions we get from commercial clients at our Camp Verde solar company, and the answer depends on a few things. Commercial rebates and incentives play a big role. So does the size of your system, permitting costs, energy requirements, month-to-month utility rates, and other factors. In the vast majority of cases, we see clients break even on their investment within 4-10 years. Since panels last up to 30 years with proper care, you can expect a healthy period of returns before panels need to be replaced or updated.
Most policies can remain unchanged after you add a commercial solar system, with no increase in your monthly premium amount. Details vary by insurer and policy, so we recommend contacting your insurance company at the beginning of the process to get clarity. If they have questions you don’t know the answers to yet, we can help.
